The Hakki Pilke Eagle is a simple
logging bench with a screw
splitter. It consists of a PTO
driven circular saw 700mm (28")
in diameter which can saw logs
up to 250mm (10") in diameter
(see image 3). The log to be cut
is placed in the hinged trough,
which has adjustable support
rollers. An adjustable stop
enables the user to saw each log
to the desired length. The cut
logs fall into a collecting tray,
from which they can easily be
transferred to the 100mm(4")
screw splitter
Transfer wheels make it easier to move the processor around.
A hard metal blade should be used for cutting dirty wood.
Net sacks for firewood make handling easier and speed up drying.
Sacking rack or support frame, where you can drop firewood directly from the conveyor.
